Description

Another nice plant from the Senecio family! With its striking appearance, the “String of Dolphins” is certainly no less than the “String of tears” and “String of pearls”. Because let’s be honest, those jumping dolphins are super cute anyway.

The Senecio Peregrinus is a cross between two other Senecios: the famous Senecio Rowleyanus and the Senecio Articulatis. As the leaves continue to grow, they increasingly resemble dolphins.
The Senecio family is a succulent and therefore easy to maintain. So you don’t have to water the plant very often. Once every two weeks should be sufficient. In the cold winter months you can even scale back to once a month. Do you think your Senecio Peregrinus does not get enough water? Then look at to the dolphins closely. When these shrink a bit, the water supply is (almost) empty and the plant is thirsty.
In addition to the low water requirement, the location of this plant is also one of the major advantages. The String of Dolphins likes to have a sunny spot in the house.
