How to care for your Microsorum Diversifolium?
Light
Microsorum Diversifolium thrives in bright but indirect sunlight. It can withstand a few hours of direct sunlight each day, perferable in the early morning or late afternoon. Be mindful with the sun on hot summer days, a bit of shade would then be appreciated to avoid sunburn on the plant. Rotate your plant regularly for evenly growth all around.
Water
To let your plant thrive water it frequently during warmer months. Water thoroughly and then let is dry out a bit. In wintertime the plant will need much less water and watering might only be needed once every 2 or 3 weeks.
Soil
The Microsorum Diversifolium likes an airy soil mix which is well draining. Try using perlite and pine bark with coco coir to keep light. If you don’t like the hassle of making your own soil you can try using our Premium aroid mix.
Humidity
Like most tropical plants Microsorum Diversifolium will be fine in regular house hold humidity. Once you notice some leaves to drop this is a sign of low humidity. Misting your plant every once in a while should do the trick.
Fertilisation
In the summer months you can fertilize your plant. In the colder and winter months no fertiliser is needed. Please always check the instructions on your own fertiliser if it has other care instructions.
Repotting
Repotting is recommended once every year or every other year. At the beginning of the growing season is the best timing to repot your plant.
Toxicity
Microsorum species are considered non-toxic to animals or humans.
