The Maranta Lemon Lime is perhaps the most striking Maranta in the family. The foliage has beautiful and outstanding green and yellow colors and stripes. A real eye-catcher!

The Maranta is originally from Brazil and belongs to the Marantaceae family. This includes, for example, the Calathea, Stromanthe and Ctenanthe.
Marantas are also called the “prayer plant” after the movement of the leaves. When it gets dark, the leaves rise up, which resembles praying hands.

The care of the Maranta Lemon Lime is quite simple. Preferably you place the plant in a shady spot. It is no problem if the plant gets some indirect sunlight during the day, but not too long and not too bright. Give the Lemon Lime a dash of water once or twice a week. The potting soil may remain slightly moist. Also make sure the plant has some space, it is a fast grower! The plant can easily double in size in a year. From spring to the end of summer, small white to light purple flowers are likely to appear.
Tip: The Maranta Lemon Lime does not like dry air. Therefore, spray the plant regularly with the plant sprayer.
