Hoya are perhaps one of the easiest plants to care for. When placing a Hoya in your home make sure it gets a much light. A spot with bright indirect sunlight would be ideal. If you don’t mind some sun-stressed leaves, you can even place your Hoya in direct sunlight.
Watering of your Hoya will mostly depend on place it stands and the time of year. When the plant gets much light it’s probably going to need water once a week. In winter times Hoya don’t need to be water very frequently and once ever two weeks should be fine.
Just like most Hoya, Hoya Imperialis Red like a well draining soil mixture. Mixing some coco coir, pine bark and perlite would be ideal. In the shop we have a special Hoya soil mixture just right for your Hoya!

In the summer months you can fertilise the plant once every week. In the colder and winter months no fertiliser is needed. Please always check the instructions on your own fertilizer for the exact instructions.
