How to care for your Aglaonema Duo Bundle?
The Aglaonema species thrive best in an environment with indirect sunlight or partial shade. In it’s natural habitat Aglaonema grow on the floor of the tropical rain forests. With too much bright light the gorgeous foliage will get sunburned.
Aglaonema are easy to maintain. If you water your plant once a week, you should be able to keep it happy. The soil may remain slightly damp before watering again. Of course avoid too much water, which can cause the roots to rot.
Aglaonema don’t necessarily need special soil to grow. A regular potting soil will do. If you want to be a bit more creative try out one of our aroid soil mixtures, perfect for any type of aroid.
Aglaonema are very versatile plants and can adapt fairly easily to our house hold conditions. How ever, to keep your Aglaonema in perfect condition a humidity of about 65% would be ideal.
In the summer months you can fertilize the plant. In the colder and winter months no fertiliser is needed. Please always check the instructions on your own fertiliser if it has other care instructions.
If you wish to repot your Aglaonema it’s best to do so at the beginning of the growing season. This will give your plant the whole upcoming season to have space and fresh soil to grow into. When your plant needs a bigger pot, only use a pot that is one size bigger. Generally you only need to repot your Aglaonema once every 12 to 24 months.
The Aglaonema is toxic for humans and animals if ingested.
